Course overview

Our Teaching English to Young Learners Certificate course is a new course that we have prepared in response to many requests from teachers. There is tremendous demand for good teachers to teach English to young learners and our course will enable you to work all over the world. This distance study course will provide you with the skills you need to teach young pupils aged from 4 to 12.

The Teaching English to Young Learners course provides a comprehensive programme suitable for Tefl / Tesol-trained teachers wishing to expand their skills, or move into a new area. The course consists of about 270 A4 pages of advice and guidance for teachers and is packed with numerous practical ideas, insights, methods, strategies and techniques.

There are tasks throughout the course as well as assignments that your personal tutor will mark. You will find a wide variety of interesting and imaginative activities that you can try out in class.

Course length

We estimate that you will need about 65 hours to study the course material, complete the various activities, complete the assignments and follow up on the feedback provided by your course tutor. However, there are no time limits or deadlines so you can take as much time as you need. If you have any questions about the material or the assignments, you can always ask your tutor.

Personal tutor and assessment

You will have an experienced tutor who will answer your questions and mark your assignments.
