Course overview

English is the language of business worldwide and many professional people are eager to improve their business English. They need trainers with the skills to help them achieve this and, like most people in business, they are looking for results. This means that they expect their trainers to be fully qualified to teach business English.

The Teaching Business English course by The English Training Centre is accredited by the College of Teachers. We are the only company to have been awarded accreditation by the College for a training course on teaching business English. This accreditation guarantees the professional quality of this programme.

Course fees

Our Teaching Business English course fees start from £255 (€321 $497), depending on how you wish to receive the materials. These are available by download to your computer, on a CD-Rom or in printed form. Course fee details.

Who is this course for?

If you want to teach business English, we provide an ideal training course. However, this is not an initial Tefl / Tesol qualification and anyone taking this course should already hold a Tefl or Tesol certificate or diploma accredited by an independent Tefl / Tesol accreditation body. The course should be a minimum of 100 hours (taught course) or 150 hours (distance-learning course).

If you enrol on both our Teaching Business English and our 150-hour or 250-hour Tesol Certificate course, you will receive a £25 discount. Students who have already successfully completed our Tesol Certificate will also be eligible for this discount.

Course length

The Teaching Business English course consists of more than 260 pages of detailed information dealing with all the important features of teaching business English. It includes sections on all the skills that a business English teacher needs to know in order to operate confidently and successfully.

We estimate that you will need about 65 hours to study the course material, complete the various activities, prepare the assignments and follow up on the feedback provided by your course tutor. However, there are no time limits or deadlines so you can take as much time as you need. If you have any questions about the material or the assignments, you can always ask your tutor.

Personal tutor and assessment

At the start of the course, you will be assigned an experienced tutor who will support you throughout the programme. At regular intervals in the course you will find assignments to complete and send to your tutor. We pride ourselves on the quality of our feedback and the support that we give to our trainees, and you will always receive plenty of helpful comments and suggestions.
